The Covid-19 outbreak has severe consequences for health and well-being and as led to several governmental measures to fight the disease. This study intends to estimate how Covid-19 has influenced the behaviour of birdwatchers: For example changes in their preferred localities or changes in the temporal pattern. Such changes have a great impact on data collection for citizen science platforms, but also affect the personal environment. The data collected in this study should allow social scientists to assess the changes on a worldwide basis and give insight into how Covid-19 has influenced our leisure activity. Results will be published in an open access journal to allow unrestricted reading.
